liberatory therapy
for individuals
and couples+

You may be seeking support around identity, relationships, anxiety, depression, sexuality, addictions, life transitions, self-esteem, or any number of stressors.

Perhaps you have experienced or witnessed something traumatic, or you’re grieving.

Maybe you can’t exactly name why you’re seeking help.

No matter your biography, I welcome all parts of you.

ABOUT ME

I am a Bay Area-born and raised South Asian American Muslim queer woman. I am a mother, a dancer, a writer, and a radical intersectional feminist.

I have nearly 20 years of professional experience in community advocacy, education, and arts - most of which has been in direct service.

My clients might describe me as knowledgeable, non-judgmental, and warm. A former supervisor once said I’m “exceptional at balancing depth with lightness”. My colleagues tell me I’m approachable and easygoing.

I see myself as thoughtful and creative, and I deeply value integrity and honesty. I am particularly attuned to the nuances of diaspora cultural identities, and see the world through an anti-racist and decolonial lens.

I am personally committed to healing generational trauma and ending cycles of violence, especially against women and children. I try to turn towards grounding instead of addictions and compulsions, and prioritize repair, attunement and connection - within my self and with others.

I am passionate about holistic care that supports healing of the body, mind, spirit, community and environment. I would be honored to work with and for you.

You’re interested in exploring your inner world, developing insight around your patterns, and cultivating healthy attachments. You want to start doing more of what’s working and less of what’s not working.

Whether it’s your first time in therapy or you have years of experience in the room, you’re invited to approach me for support around these things, and more!

Many of my clients are:

  • QTBIPOC / women of color

  • young / “transitional age” adults

  • neurodivergent people

  • educators, artists, and healing practitioners

  • people seeking support around harm reduction

  • parents

  • couples, especially those in non-traditional relationship structures and dynamnics

ABOUT YOU

ABOUT US

We'll work at a pace that's comfortable for you - I am patient, collaborative, open, and flexible.

You can hope to leave our sessions feeling empowered and resilient. You’ll be supported with active listening, empathy, reflection, and validation from me.

We’ll use a variety of techniques and tools that you can take into your everyday life, such as mindfulness, creative expression, and grounding

I’m comfortable supporting clients in depth-oriented work: IFS/"parts", shadow, inner child, and non-ordinary states of consciousness.

Let me know if you’re interested in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy ~ we can discuss whether it would be a good fit for you. I offer this service in collaboration with Journey Clinical.

*As of 2025, all my lower-fee slots are filled (I am currently not accepting new clients for less than my base rates of $200/$250).

  • While I'm not currently accepting insurance, I'm happy to provide you with a receipt of services ("superbill") in order to submit reimbursement claims to your insurance company.

These can be provided weekly or monthly based on your needs. Reimbursements vary greatly, so I encourage clients to inquire about out of network mental health benefits they might have to support access to those benefits.

  • I came into the field of professional therapy after many years working with young People of the Global Majority (and their families) in the Oakland Unified School District.

Before starting my private practice, I worked in various community mental health settings: a nonprofit crisis helpline, school-based health centers, and a sliding-scale clinic. I am also an adjunct professor of Psychology.

I have substantial post-graduate training in psychedelic-assisted therapies (preparation, medicine sessions, and integration).

    Credentials:

  • Your first step is to get in touch with me - let’s schedule a complementary 20-minute consultation call!

Don’t feel obligated to go into detail via email - during our call, you’ll tell me about what kind of support you’re looking for, and I’ll give you some more information about myself and how I work.

We’ll feel out if it’s a good mutual fit and decide together how to proceed from there.

If it doesn’t work out with me, I’m happy to connect you with other helping professionals in my network.
